Exploration Based Story

One of the key points made by the developers was that the expansion would not be following the story of a soldier army, but organizations of explorers, scientists and colonists. This would allow for intriguing new dynamic for players since previous expansions have revolved around stories that were more apocalyptic in nature.

Exploration is one of the main features of Warcraft games, since they boast of being a massively open world. Mr.Harsh_Acid, a player on the game, explains his for the game, stating that "the expansion is focused on the past and exploration not world-threatening threats" and quoting the developer who spoke to the issue. Dracthyr Evoker

Other than the allied races in Battle for Azeroth, there no new races since Mists of Pandaria in 2012. There's an additional variation to the Dracthyr as they can only be one class, the Evoker and it is unique for the race.
